HCM City certifies local Protestant groups

Viet Nam News Service (VNS) reported on October 17th that 25 Protestant groups have been certified by the Ho Chi Min (HCM) City Department of Religious Affairs to carry out religious activities. The certification came in response to requests on behalf of the country’s Protestant community. According to VNS, there are roughly 90 Protestant groups in HCM City. Registration certificates had been issued previously to Viet Nam’s Mennonite, Seventh-Day Adventist, and Grace Baptist factions.
